Thanks to Kevin Thornton, ex Coventry footballer for stepping up to take a close shave for charity. Kevin who owns a property at Melia Tortuga Beach resort volunteered to have his beard shaved off at a recent event while on holiday at Melia Dunas Beach Resort.
Being a true sportsman, Kevin’s signature ginger beard was personally shaved by Rob Jarrett, CEO, to raise money for the charity, which has been making a difference to the lives of the Cape Verdean people.
The total raised will be over 10,000€ thanks to both Kevin and Rob’s personal involvement.
Donations are still being collected from the evening, which will go towards the various projects that the charity are working on. Rob expressed his thanks to everyone who helped support the charity and commented on what a good sport Kevin is!
